This workshop explores how emotion, movement, lighting, composition, and sound work together to transform simple portrait videos into compelling visual narratives. Participants will learn how to direct natural performances, create authentic interactions, and use intentional camera movement to capture genuine expressions rather than staged poses. Strong portrait work comes from building trust with the subject, thoughtful direction, and creating an environment where authentic emotion can naturally unfold.
Through a guided practical session led by RAKKY RAKESH https://www.instagram.com/rakkyrakesh/?hl=en , participants will film a live model while applying cinematic techniques using Nikon cameras. The workshop also introduces an efficient workflow for selecting clips, sequencing shots, and applying basic colour grading to enhance mood and visual consistency.
