What You'll Learn:

·        Understanding Silhouette Photography: Discover the artistic principles behind silhouette photography and how shapes, outlines, and negative space can create compelling visual narratives.

·        Mastering Studio Backlighting: Learn how to position studio strobes and continuous lights behind your subject to produce clean, dramatic silhouettes.

·        Lighting Setups & Light Modifiers: Explore the creative use of softboxes, reflectors, grids, and background lighting to control contrast and achieve different silhouette effects.

·        Camera Settings & Exposure Control: Understand manual exposure, metering, and camera settings to achieve rich shadows and well-defined subject outlines.

·        Creative Composition & Framing: Experiment with symmetry, negative space, angles, and minimalistic compositions to create visually striking images.

·        Model Posing & Direction: Learn how to guide a model into expressive poses that emphasize body outlines, gestures, movement, and recognizable shapes.

What to Bring:

Participants are encouraged to bring their Nikon camera and preferred portrait lenses to maximize their hands-on shooting experience. Please ensure batteries are fully charged and memory cards have sufficient storage.
